SERVICES
INDUSTRY LEADING HYDROGEOLOGICAL DRILLING SERVICE PROVIDER, IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Acqua Drill Resources specialises in large diameter surface water well drilling using conventional rotary air/mud and air-core methodologies.
We have a successful history of multi-aquifer (Class 2) bore completions using stainless steel, FRP, ABS, uPVC and mild steel casing utilising both in-line and on various configured latching packers.
Our qualified and experienced Class 1 and 2 water well drillers have the technical expertise and modern drilling equipment to successfully carry out the most complex bore completions of 1,000+ metres in depth.
Our capabilities include test pumping services, transport and logistics and remote camp facilities.
MONITORING BORES
Groundwater monitoring bores are used to:
- Determine the nature and properties of soils through which liquids may seep
- Provide access to groundwater for measuring its level, physical and chemical properties
- Allow groundwater samples to be withdrawn for laboratory analysis
UNDERGROUND SERVICE AND PASTE-FILL HOLES
Drilled either vertical or angled, these holes are generally for:
- Installation of electrical cables or water pumping infrastructure directly to an underground stope
- Delivery of paste fill (waste rock and cement products) to backfill underground voids from mining activities
VIBRATING WIRE PIEZOMETERS
Vibrating wire piezometers (VWPs) are used to measure soil pore pressure by converting the output frequency into a pressure reading which is generally expressed in kPa. Vibrating wire piezometers provide critical information for a range of geotechnical and hydrological applications including tailings dam monitoring, embankment stability and dewatering effects from excavations in construction and mining.
STYGOFAUNA BORE COMPLETIONS
Typically, these are 50mm uPVC cased bores with a larger screen aperture to allow sampling for aquatic fauna that live in groundwater aquifers, commonly known as stygofauna.
MANAGED AQUIFER RECHARGE BORES
Managed aquifer recharge (MAR) is the intentional replenishment of groundwater, under controlled conditions, for later recover, environmental benefit, or to mitigate the impacts of abstraction. In the right circumstances, MAR can help optimise the use of our valuable water resources and create alternative water supplies.
ANGLED HOLE DRILLING CAPABILITIES
We have the ability to drill conventional rotary air or mud up to 30° (from vertical).
TEST-PUMPING SERVICES
Test-pumping services are used for assessing aquifer characterisation to determine optimal and sustainable long-term water extraction.
ADDITIONAL CAPABILITIES
In-house transport and logistics
Our Mainroads accredited fleet of prime-movers, semi-trailers and low loaders enables Acqua Drill Resources to efficiently manage the mobilisation then on-going support of our drilling programs in-house, conveniently from our head office in Bullsbrook, Western Australia.
Remote camp facilities
We can procure, mobilise and set-up a remote camp where required.
